first block

I'm so excited!
It's actually turning out the way I envisioned.

Now I just need help!
All you applique experts out there, do I just do a straight stitch around the edges?

EDITED TO ADD:

ok, so here it is all sewn down with a straight stitch. I'm really happy with how it turned out!

I'm no expert, but I did a satin stitch around mine. I've seen it with just a straight stitch, though.

I love your block! So many of us did birds and flowers that it's really fun to see something different!

So very cute!! Love the floral seat cover! Perfect fabrics for a scooter. Well done. I can see you doing more applique now that you have the hang of it.

Sew cute! I found that the blind hem stich made really small made it look like the most like hand applique. This is such a cute little block!
