I got both blocks done for the quilts this evening. I ended up machine appliqueing them--had planned on needle turning them, but ended up way to overwhelmed to give it a try! Both white squares shrunk on me when I ironed them, not sure if it was the spray starch or what. Hopefully V can sash them or work with them.
I had a lot of fun with this and the fabrics were just beautiful! They'll go in the mail tomorrow!

I love these blocks and the unusual choice of fabrics for the bird and tree. These are fantastic. Can't wait to see the entire quilt.
